Career Journey
Giuliana D’Angelo is a Visual Arts Secondary School Teacher with over 30 years of experience working with students in Years 7 to 12 since completing a Bachelor of Education in Visual Arts at Melbourne University. She has taught in a range of schools across different sectors and is an experienced Visual Arts teacher, teaching both VCE Art and Studio Arts. Giuliana’s students over the past ten years have ranked amongst the highest-scoring and top awarded in the state of Victoria, in both the VCE and IB, as well as some students being shortlisted regularly shortlisted and selected for Top Arts at NGV Australia.
Giuliana is a written assessor and examiner for VCE Studio Arts, specialises in curriculum planning and review panels for VCE subjects such as Studio Arts, and co-authored the publication “Art-isan” VCE Studio Arts Unit 1-4 textbook for VCE students statewide.
Giuliana has also worked as an Artist-in-residence based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy in an early learning centre environment and was awarded a Fellowship Award to travel to Cambodia to participate in a collaborative art project between students from Siem Reap and Lauriston Girls School.
